Who We Are
Marcos and I are a loving, strong, and persevering couple! We have been through so many different challenging times throughout our relationship, but our love has never wavered! Marcos and I recently got married in Cancun, Mexico on December 21, 2019 with our close family and friends and it was truly a dream come true! Words cannot describe the gratitude I felt for the support we got from our family and friends that traveled all the way from the United States of America and Brazil for our beautiful beach wedding in Cancun, Mexico - It was perfect!
Marcos and I are both caring, and compassionate people. We are both very close to our families and we really enjoy travelling, besides that's how we originally meet was when we were both on our travels in the beautiful snowy mountains of Vail, Colorado. Marcos and I have travelled together to and from many different countries: the United States of America,Mexico, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Bulgaria, and now we are living in the United Kingdom (where my husband moved to for work purposes).
Upon moving to England, Marcos had just proposed and I was accepted into the University of Birmingham, in which I have recently graduated with a Postgraduate degree in Multiplatform & Mobile Journalism. I am hoping to land my dream job as a contracted news reporter/presenter, as well as get my book published this year! My wonderful, loving husband supports me 100% in all of the hopes, dreams, and goals I have for myself and for that I am so grateful! Needless to say, I am so looking forward to what this next year brings us in 2020!

Where we began
In Vail, CO, it was a cold winter and I meet a lot of new friends including this guy, Marcos Kenji Fukuchi. Marcos befriended me and we hung out a lot, because we hung out in the same circle. It became clear to me that he had feelings for me, but I was being very indecisive and wasn't sure if I wanted to get mixed up in the dating world again. So this handsome man kept pursuing me and he was very patient. He did not give up and I am so glad he didn't, because once I came around I saw just how amazing this guy was.
Unfortunately though, we were only together for one month before he had to move back to Brazil to graduate college, but we both knew from the minute we started dating we were meant to be so we were going to stay in touch and continue dating. It was certainly challenging at times, but Marcos never let me forget how much he loved me and he was always reminding me that he was thinking about me by sending sending me flowers, thoughtful text messages, lots of FaceTime, and sent me amazing beautiful gifts. We may have been really far a part, but we didn't let that stop us from keeping our relationship alive and continuing our love story. "Forever together, never apart. Maybe in distance, but never in heart." -Anonymous Author

Our Reunion
We spent 5 months apart after only a month of us dating and after persevering though those long 5 months of being a part we are now together again living in our beautiful cozy two bedroom apartment and I am loving every second with him. I've met his family and very much enjoy their company. Marcos' family has been very welcoming, so kind, and loving. I may not be able to communicate with quite a few of them with some of them only knowing Portuguese and in the beginning I knew absolutely no Portugusese, but with time with me getting more familiar with the Portuguese language and getting more familiar with his family there isn't too much of a huge communication barrier anymore.
I have to say when Marcos plans adventures for us to go on he sure does know how to do it. We have been on the most amazing adventures, especially the adventures that we went on in this video. It has been purely amazing. There definitely is never a dull moment with us that's for sure. I love our adventures. I love our time together. And I am absolutely 100% head over heels in love with my Brazilian man!

The long distance relationship
Being in a long distance relationship can be very trying at times, but when both people know it's worth the extra effort, it's so worth it! I love my boyfriend, Marcos Kenji Fukuchi! He is so amazing and seriously the most patient, loving, caring man to me. A lot has happened since we've been a part: I had brain surgery that I've been recovering from and he graduated college with his mechanical engineering degree and got an internship with Ford. One things for sure, both of our futures are looking bright; I am getting back into my video editing career and continuing my work on my book and he has many awesome opportunities with his career as well. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us, individually and as a couple. I am very much looking forward to it! Of course I miss him unbelievably so much; however, I know we are going to have an incredible future together with everything we have worked so hard for.
Reunited in England
After three years of doing the long distance relationship thing, Marcos was living in England and I came to visit him from America. During my few month visit Marcos proposed and I had been accepted into Birmingham City University for a master's program in Multiplatform & Mobile Journalism. This was the start to us finally moving on from being in a long distance relationship! Knowing that we weren't going to have to worry about visa stuff and being able to live and be together was the most comforting thing! We were beyond happy that we could finally start planning our lives together!
Thus began the planning a wedding! Our wedding plans were a bit crazy. First of all, we had to figure out how to get our families from Brazil and America together in one place. It had always been my dream to get married on the beach! So our wedding venue went from St. Lucia to Cancun then to Brazil then back to Cancun, because of trying to accommodate to everyone's travel expenses. It was the most stressful thing; however, we have finally confirmed that our beautiful beach wedding will be on the sandy beaches of Cancun, Mexico. We cannot wait for our big day to stand before our closest family and friends and vow our commitments to each other as husband and wife.
Cheers to mine and Marcos' future together and the wonderful adventures that awaits of us!

Life as newly weds in England
Now that Marcos and I are married, it feels like the sky is the limit for us! I am so proud of Marcos' accomplishments since he arrived here in the UK a few years ago and now I am so looking forward to accomplishing my career goals I have for myself!
As I said earlier, I have high hopes to land a contracted news reporter/presenter role, as well as get my book published this year! My husband is beyond one of the most supportive people I have in my life and he constantly encourages me that I can achieve these high expectations I have for myself. Marcos - my husband - truly makes life so much more better! 🥰 #aislegowithfukuchi
