Welcome back y'all! I am so looking forward to sharing this next adventure with you! Unfortunately, the last time I was here in England a few months ago, I had to undergo brain surgery, because I was having a shunt malfunction. This time around I am looking forward to NOT having another brain surgery and going on more adventures all across the United Kingdom with my love. We've already been on one adventure to London, which I'll share in my next post.
But as of right now, the past two weeks I have been trying to get our apartment looking better by getting the things we need (with the help of Amazon) to make it more homey here. That's ALREADY checked off our list! We have pretty much gotten everything we need in two weeks time to make our apartment balling!!! A bed frame. A new vacuum, since our other cheap one didn't apparently pick up anything. A long mirror. And seriously the list goes on, but we finally got all the stuff that was needed to complete our apartment. Poor Marcos though, every time he came home from work he had to assemble new things that I ordered off of Amazon. Love you honey and thanks for being so handy and amazing!!! 😘😘😘
I also renewed my gym membership, which I have already attended two classes so far (the Pure Legs, Bums, and Tums class and a Cycle class). Both of which were pretty intense classes. I am looking forward to working out more and doing more classes so that I can get back in shape. This past few years has done a number on my body with brain surgery after brain surgery, but I am ready to get back into shape and "Make Jessica Great Again!"💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I also signed up for a self defence class, which I'll start next week! This is something I need for my own personal wellbeing and I am highly looking forward to learning new self defence techniques and gaining my self confidence back that got a little lost along the way, because of some things that have happened in my life. Cheers to getting the Bad Ass Jessica Back!!! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
As you can see, I have a lot of goals set up for myself already, which makes me feel good. I'm already working out!! It's a little overdue after my brain surgery #28 five months ago, but I'm taking control and getting back into making my body "Great Again!" 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I am also getting back into my writing mode, so that I can finish writing my first of many books that I plan on writing. And I'll of course pick back up on my video editing work online too, unless I end up finding a job here while I am in England. While I am here, I am also planning on trying to get my Italian/Dual Citizenship since my biological dad is full Italian. If it all works out, I could possibly get Dual Citizenship and then I'll have the flexibility to work here in England.
I am also planning on joining/volunteering with the media team at our church to take photos during sermons and events that they put on. Heck, I even bought my first Nikon 3400 DSLR camera for this opportunity. I'm pretty familiar with using cameras like these with the career field I'm in, but I wanted to make sure I am a pro going into this, plus I needed a good camera with all the traveling we are going to be doing. 📸📸📸
It's really exciting that I'll be getting back into the things I love to do personally and professionally. I have no idea where my career is going to take me, but I am really looking forward to it!!!
The most exciting part is adding a new chapter to mine and Marcos' story. It feels like the possibilities are limitless for us! If I end up getting my Italian/Dual Citizenship while I'm here as a means to helping me to stay here with my Marcos, then it'll give me the ability to work over here easiler. Cheers to this next adventure with my love and I look forward to sharing our adventures with y'all!!!
BEWARE: You'll begin to notice certain words and phrases in this post and my future post that does not look very American. Words like "cheers." And they also spell words differently over here as well. Like defense is spelled defence. So I am going to try writing like this in my future blog post - one, to make it more fun. and two, if I were to get a writing gig while I am here I want to be able to say I can write in the British Language. Plus, who knows, maybe I'll come back to the states talking with a British accent. LOL. 😂😁👍🏻
