Our Adventures
I have been in Brazil for 90 days now and I have been having the time of my life with the love of my life! I still can not get over the fact that I am even here in Brazil sometimes. I am so very thankful of the time I have spent here with my wonderful Marcos. With that said, I have put together a video of some fun adventures that Marcos and I have went on over the past few months. This is probably one of my favorite videos I have put together thus far! We have done some really amazing things and gone on some really amazing adventures since I've been here in Brazil. Needless to say, Marcos has been so unbelievably good to me! I thank God everyday for bringing us together and for the man Marcos is. Check out this fun video! I know it is a bit long, but believe me you'll enjoy it!!! Achieving my Hopes & Dreams:
Writing my Book
Not only have Marcos and I been on so many fun amazing adventures, but I have also set some goals that are very important to me to achieve some dreams of mine that I have been wanting to do for a very long time, which includes writing my autobiography.
My book has been coming along real nicely. I have had my moments of reading through my journals and needing to walk away for a few minutes, because I have been reading about those very painful times in my life and sometimes it is hard to read. Nonetheless, I have not allowed that from stopping me from continuing to write my book and I have been powering through rough moments. My goal by writing my book is mainly to be an inspiration and a voice to those who are enduring through similar things I have had to endure and give them hope that they too can persevere and see a brighter tomorrow.

Getting Physically Fit
To me, my book and getting physically fit go hand in hand. Getting physically fit is another goal of mine that I want to achieve while I am in Brazil and you'll see exactly just why that is.
As I was running the other day I had this thought enter into my mind, "oh my gosh, I am so tired, I need to stop running for just a moment," but then this other thought immediately entered mind, "keep running, do this for those who didn't survive having a brain tumor." When that second thought came into my mind I began to run even faster. I believe I was put on this earth for a very special purpose. I want so badly for my story to help so many lives and I believe being the best mentally, physically, and spiritually is key to doing just that.
I am not going to lie, given the past four years I have had to deal with some pretty aggravating things in terms with having difficulties with my shunt, not being physically active for roughly a year in a half because of the pain I was experiencing, eventually having another shunt revision, and then the recovery process.
I gained a good 30 pounds during that painful period of time and obviously there was nothing I could do about it, but after recovering from surgery, moving to Colorado, then moving to Brazil I have been working out throughout that whole period of time and have been trying to get back to being physically fit again. As I said before, I want to be that voice for those who are having a hard time in this area and encourage them.

Developing my own Blog
I originally went to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for college. There I achieved a Journalism & Electronic Media degree, with a concentration in News Broadcast. Since I gained many valuable skills with this degree, I decided to set a new goal for myself while in Brazil, to develop my own blogging website.
My blogging website, as you can already see here, consists of all of mine and Marcos' fun adventures we go on and what goes on in our daily lives here in Brazil. I was very excited about this new goal of mine of doing this blog too, so that I can also keep my skills sharp as a media journalist.
As I began this new blogging website, I really started having a lot of fun with it. I love the fact that I am able to share with my family and friends all of my adventures while I am here and not only that, but it has also began to open doors of possibilities of where to go in terms of my career.
Doing this blog has really helped a lot of my family and friends get to know my Marcos in a better way and see why I love this man so much!

I am renewed for another 90 days!
The process of getting a visa renewed is definitely a process in itself, but as long as you are organized and research all of the forms and documents that is needed it is possible and fairly easy.
I originally had a three month Brazil visa and as my visa expiration date approached, Marcos and I began the process of gathering all of the documents and paperwork that was needed to renew my visa. Going to America without my Marcos was out of the question, so until we get things situated and are able to come back to America together we had to start with getting my visa extended.
Fortunately for us, we had absolutely no difficulties with getting it renewed. We were 100% prepared and we had all of the necessary documents notarized and other paperwork that was required to get my visa renewed. I was so relieved when the lady at the police station did not give us any problems, nor did the police officer that was in charge. Once they looked over my paperwork they immediately approved it. My visa was renewed for another 90 days in Brazil! (Marcos and I made a joke how I expire in 90 days..lol)
I can not wait to see what may happen in the next 90 days, who knows anythings possible. Marcos and I both certainly have an amazing future ahead of us and I know this is only the beginning.
