Recently having come back from the US, I will say it most certainly was an adventure for my husband and I even getting to the US, and you could say that we were as anxious as ever to see our US family - besides it had been 2 years since we saw them last - literally right before the pandemic began at our wedding in Cancun!
The beginning part of our trip started out with many flight delays and flight cancelations; however, we did manage to get there. Unfortunately though, by the time we got there, both of my parents were experiencing medical issues.
My father had to undergo a colonoscopy the first day we were, because he has Ulcerative Colitis. He had been experiencing some serious medical issues because of it. On top of that, my mother broke her foot the week before we got there. So needless to say, my hubby and I were very glad we were there to help them during that difficult time.

Fortunately, my brother was also able to come in from Texas to help us take care of them as well, plus it was also so great seeing him - besides it had been three years since I saw him.
Even though things may not have went as we originally planned, my family and I did what we do best - love and support one another no matter what. And I've got to say, it was also so great getting to see my parents dogs Bailey (who I helped raised when he was puppy) and Bella (who we meet for the first time and she immediately fell in love with us as we did with her!) 🥰🐶🥰

Attending My Besties wedding
Aside from being able to spend time with and be there for my parents, my hubby and I were also able to be there for my beautiful Princess friend Sonya for her Fairy Tale Princess Wedding! 🥰
But not only that, I was also her Matron of Honour and I was beyond thrilled to be able to fulfil the many duties that came with this title!
In order to make sure my bestie had what she needed for her Fairy Tale Princess wedding, my hubby and I arrived a couple days before the wedding. Although, fortunately, by the time we got there it seemed that my bestie had everything under control! 🥰👌🏻
Since things were situated with the wedding stuff, my hubby and I took a brief walk around our Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina and man was it beautiful there!

My husband and I also very much enjoyed meeting the rest of the bridal party, plus it felt so good to be around friends again after this crazy pandemic year we have had. Also, it just felt so great being able to embrace loved ones again!
And the wedding was simply gorgeous! The bride walked down the aisle to a Beauty and the Beast song with her daddy by her side and then Sonya and Patrick said their beautiful vows to one another, did communion, and then sealed it with a kiss.
After the wedding ceremony came the pictures, and then we all drove to the reception! We danced, ate sushi and ate cake. Plus I gave my Matron of Honour Speech, which I can't wait to see the video for it all from the wedding videographer!

Sonya and I have been besties for 13 years now, which is the same amount of time as she has known and loved Patrick. If it weren't for our friendship, these two may not be together as I was the person who introduced them to each other.
So needless to say, I was especially happy to see these two love birds start to live their happily ever after!
Additionally, it was also so great seeing friends I hadn't seen in a while as well as make some new friends at my besties wedding!

Watching these two FINALLY get their happily ever after was just the best. The beautiful bride and her hubby danced the night away with their dog Fraggles right by their side - it was honestly just the sweetest!!! 🥰 🥰 🥰
Unfortunately, the night came to an end, but my hubby and I most certainly had a wonderful time being there for my bestie! I am so happy for them, because after 13 years of being together, this beautiful couple are FINALLY hitched and have made a lifelong commitment to one another! I cannot wait to see where life takes them next! ☺️
Marcos' Dream Comes True - Go see A Nascar race ✅
And last, but not least, on the way back from Sonya and Patrick's wedding, my hubby and I hopped on over to Atlanta to see a NASCAR race. It has always been a dream of my husbands to see a NASCAR race; therefore, I was determined to make sure we saw one while we were in the US!
My husband was beyond thrilled to be there and it made me so happy to see the joy in his face! Obviously, it has been a rough year on all of us because of the pandemic, but it's been especially hard on my husband because he has had to work so much. Therefore, I knew this was a well deserved experience for him!
