Welcomed Marcos to Cleveland the Right Way!
Within the first few weeks of being back in the good ole' Tennessee rocky mountains, I was able to introduce Marcos to quite a bit of my family & friends! For this first post of a few of being reunited with family and friends, I mainly wanted to just touch on a few highlights of some quick visits with family and friends. I will share on the many more adventures we ventured on while showing Marcos around Tennessee in future posts.
First off, we started out with some drinks with my parents for the first day of course.
My parent's could instantly see why I love this man so much! My Auntie Michele and Uncle James stopped over at one point to officially meet Marcos, with consideration to the fact that Marcos has only "met" my family through FaceTime. All in all it was a huge success with my family meeting my Brazilian man, but of course the fun did not stop there, besides this is the Quinlan family! We broke out into a sing-a-long to the famous Taylor Swift song "shake it off" as you'll see in the video below.

Reunited with my Bestie Diane
Following a few days after that we ventured off to Chattanooga to see my bestie Diane and her family. Diane and her hubby got me a UT toboggan for a Christmas present, which I absolutely loved of course! And I know it was hard for them to buy that too considering we are reveries at heart when it comes to college football. Diane is a Georgia Bulldog fan and her hubby Brian is an Alabama Elephant fan; you could definitely call this a "house divided."
Marcos and I had such a blast catching up and sharing our many many adventures of Brazil and catching up on their adventures in their lives as well. Diane has always been a true and dear friend to me for a long time now and she will and forever remain that way! I love you girl and your family so much! |
Reunited with my Bestie Hayley
The next stop was meeting up with another one of my best friend's Hayley at Starbucks, which we spent a good few hours there just catching up on her and my life since we last saw each other.
She then presented me a card asking me to be her maid of honor, which I gladly and joyfully accepted the position! I cannot wait to get to cracking on this wedding planning for her and the love of her life Abel of 6 years of dating with Abel living in Canada and her living in Tennessee. This couple is a true testament that a long distance relationship can work, if you share the kind of love they share that is! |
Reunited with Sonya & Patrick & her Puppies
I of course had to take a trip up to Knoxville to show Marcos UT, but I'll share more on that in a future post. Most importantly though, while we were there I had to introduce Marcos to another one of my besties Sonya.
Unfortunately, Sonya's puppy Dagget, her baby, on the left was undergoing radiation the next day, because he has a pituitary brain tumor. So I of course needed to see her and give her and Mr. Dagget a big hug from his Auntie Jess before the big day. I love this girl and our friendship means so much to me. I've known Dagget and Fraggles both from the time they were puppies and I hate that Sonya is having to go through this with one of her babies, but you better believe girl that I'll always have your back and don't forget I am here if you need anything! #bestiesforlife |
Reunited with My Hair Dresser!
We then of course had to pay a visit to my amazing hair dresser Constantine, because I hadn't had my hair done since I left the U.S. when he last did my hair. It was way too expensive in Brazil to get my hair done, so I waited to get back to the states to take care of that problem and I surely did that the day after I arrived in Tennessee. So Marcos got to meet my awesome hair dresser Constantine, who did a great job as always with my hair.

Reunited with another bestie Adriena
And last but not least, I was finally reunited with this amazing fun spirited woman Adrenia Clark!
I was so excited for Marcos to meet her, because Lord knows there is never a dull moment with this wonderful friend of mine. She is very dear to my family and I and I am forever grateful she came into our lives. We got to share in on a great welcome into the new year party and a grand tour of one of Chattanooga's main attractions, which I will share more about in future posts.
