Not only was poker night a success with missing the poker chips, but so was the liquor my parents sent us. Those Brazilians sure did love the American liquor. Wild Turkey 101, Makers Mark, Jim Beam, and Gentlemen Jack were the hit of poker night. The Brazilians told me when I go back to America they want to come with just so they can get some more of the delicious American liquor. | Marcos was our bartender for the night. He had us trying each liquor one at a time. We first started with Tequila shots, then we moved on to Wild Turkey 101, Kentucky made, and that was Marcos' friend Rodrigo's favorite. Next was Gentlemen Jack, Tennessee's iconic favorite. The guys raved about this one as well. The next was Marcos' favorite, Makers Mark, Kentucky made. Not only is that Marcos' favorite, but it is also a Quinlan favorite. The next and final one we drank on was Jim Beam, another Kentucky made. All in all it was a very fun night. I got to meet more of Marcos' friends and we had fun playing poker with nuts, bolts, and screws and drinking some good ole' American liquor. |
So last night was a success with poker night, besides the missing poker chips. The guy that was suppose to bring the poker chips forgot them at home, which he just drove four hours from there. So being the creative engineers that they are came up with using nuts, bolts, and screws as poker chips. And it worked! So it wasn't a complete fail that his friend forgot the poker chips, plus it made it more entertaining to play poker using the nuts, bolts, and screws, except for the fact that using them got our hands dirty with consideration to them coming directly from the workshop. The nuts were worth $5, the bolts were worth $25, and the screws were worth $50. Now I've only played poker once in my life and couldn't remember how to play worth the life of me. So of course the guys had to teach me. Fortunately for me, I caught on pretty quick and won the first couple of games. But then I got too confident and started losing pretty bad till I finally just went all in and then went out. It came down to two engineers duking it out. The guy on the right, Pumba, ended up winning the poker game.
